For those of you flying in...

In case you haven't noticed, the security lines at the airports are INSANE. The TSA is either on a slow down OR just a meltdown. Even last month we almost missed our flight to Florida from Newark after arriving two and a half hours early. Please check ahead and plan accordingly so you don't miss your flight.

This was in Chicago.. but I encountered the same thing in Newark.

How long does it take to get your known traveler number (KTN) form the TSA precheck program ?

I been waiting for them to send me mine to buy plane tickets but I may have to go ahead and pull the trigger anyway very soon.

I don't know. I should sign up for that myself. It's the gob'mint, so it will probably come through 3 days after your death.

my friend flew domestically recently and said he had no problems. my wife flew internationally and said it was fine as well. just a guess but maybe the news coverage got the message across and TSA workers and management are hashing it out.
