I have heard of at least one place that sort of does that, but not really. I have been asking for a national Paintball Referee Certification for a few years now though. Something along the lines of how they “Patch” Soccer Refs.

The Evelyn Woodhead Speed Reading Course certifies paintball refs.

But are they recognized nationally? The problem isn’t just being certified, it is whether that certification MEANS anything past a small local area, and even if it means anything there.

It is the same with courses you can take…. Sure, you can take a course in just about anything you want. But the problem is whether anyone will recognize that course.

    I'll second Strider's comment.

The 1-day course is largely codifying what an experienced player/ref already knows, but there where a lot of "I never thought of that" moments for me, too.
