Does anyone know where you can become a certified ref? Or just a place to teach reffing, i dont know if you have to be certified. i just want to be able to ref so i can get some summer money, having bad luck finding a job..

I have heard of at least one place that sort of does that, but not really. I have been asking for a national Paintball Referee Certification for a few years now though. Something along the lines of how they “Patch” Soccer Refs.Originally Posted by $tevo

But are they recognized nationally? The problem isn’t just being certified, it is whether that certification MEANS anything past a small local area, and even if it means anything there.
It is the same with courses you can take…. Sure, you can take a course in just about anything you want. But the problem is whether anyone will recognize that course.

I'll second Strider's comment.
The 1-day course is largely codifying what an experienced player/ref already knows, but there where a lot of "I never thought of that" moments for me, too.
