Yeah, usually early- to mid- May. This year it was on my birthday - 5/18. They keep it pretty consistent from year-to-year to make things easy to plan in advance for the players.
I'll be there, and the SoCal battalion is already gearing up for this event
BEO MAFIA
I am now looking forward to something next year! Hoping this works out, so the date is penciled in.
Stay Classy, AO...BEO: RIP / Topgun Paintball: RIP / Old MCB: RIP
If I'm driving, then I'm coming up with Alex in an RV!
If I can get a new trailer over the next few months, I can bring my pig smoker and do pulled pork for a very very nominal fee (like cost) per sandwich for those assembled. I will let you know how it goes as I am doing 120# this weekend for a party to test out the system. But my smoker pulls for crap as it is on an old boat trailer. I have to see if I can get a different trailer and someone who can weld to take a look at it. Other then that I have all the equipment. I would just need some sort of power source for the rotisserie if someone has a small generator or something.
having a backup gun would mean you would possess more than one gun which I'm not sure if he does
For a guy who has never been to an event like this could someone explain how it works as far as game play? Is it two massive teams, what are the rules, what do people do when they are eliminated, what is legal to shoot, what if you run out of paint or air during the game...etc....etc.
2 generals that command 2 team with 4 legions per team. the general deligates tasks to the legion commanders and we accomplish the missions given to us...
that all falls to hell in the first hour and we generally just run till we find the enemy and shoot at them.
at living legends ALL firing modes are legal capped at 13bps 280fps (pumps 300)
when you are eliminated you just get the hell out of dodge, go back to your hospital and get reinserted or if youre lucky enough to have a medic by you, get whipped and keep shooting.
running out of air is the big problem as people are more concerned with shooting then conserving their paint. so if you yell "does anyone have a spare pod of paint" or "im out of paint" youll generally find yourself with free on field paint.
nothing really you can do with out of air except leave or act as a suicidal distraction
Im definitely hitting this one
Ive been a general for 6 of the last scenario games up at Apocalypse (in WI) and Im a ref, so I can help running the team
a WI carpool down to the event would be cool
where in Wisconsin are you located
Im just East of Madison
