    freak inserts

    i'm seeing several smaller than .680 and since you guys have been playing more than i have is it getting that bad that you need sub 68 inserts now?

    Check the paint that you are using. That is what will determine the size you need. Having an insert that is a bit big won't hurt the performance, but having one that is too tight can cause barrel breaks if the paint is fragile. Having good paint is much more critical that having the right size of insert.
    Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

    .679 appears to be the size of choice for most all paint I've shot in the last year.

    Depends on your location. Marbalizer here in Houston has been about .688, evil .686. In Dallas, marbalizer was snug in .675. It's a lot drier in Dallas. Over boring allows you to shoot past an occasional fat ball. Over boring a
    Level 10 by a lot eats a lot of air, but it won't bounce off a tight fit.

    I haven't had to go below .682 at the field I frequent.
