    varnish on carbon

    Hi guys,

    I've a DW carbon foregrip.

I was thinking about spraying clear varnish on the carbon tube to make it look like the carbon XMT uses for his bodies.

Do you think it will work or only make me destroy a foregrip ?

    Thanks

it should work fine, just make sure it's clean before spraying. if in doubt, ask deadlywinds if there is any particular type of spray that might not be compatible (enamel, acrylic, etc). do understand that spraying will decrease it's resale value.

Thanks for this advice. The resale value is not a big issue as the fg is not very expensive.
I'm thinkin in using an acrylic varnish, the one for car spray paint.
    I'm going to email DW.

If you really wanted to make it look good you would drop if off at your local auto body shop and tell them to clear coat it after they finish painting a car...because there is always extra material in the gun and they should give you a pretty good deal.
