    stck valve

    I dusted off my old x valved minimag. Im sure all the oring are garbage, but I cannot unscrew the valve halves to get to them. Any recomendations on getting the two peices apart without marring the surface?

    Bench clamp with soft sides and a strap wrench. Or two strap wrenches.

    i use a thick leather belt and a pair of channel locks for situations like that. channel locks give you the leverage while the belt protects the surface.
