    I never knew this show existed in the 70's although it looks like I missed nothing at all.....

    Seems to me it was part of another main show...maby the Shazam Isis show.

    No, it was part of Sid & Marty Croft, who brought you Sigmund the Sea Monster & land of the Lost. Totally separate from Shazam. Might have been made because of it and the other slew of 70s super hero shows(Incredible Hulk, WonderWoman).

    As for the special effects, there was a lot of good drugs in the 70s, but it was also the decade that brought you disco, so not many great decisions were made back then...
