A Few of My Automag Projects

These first two I'm rebuilding for my oldest daughters.......

...here's a couple that I'm building for my nephews....

...and this one's for a friend of mine...

I have a few more that I still need to get pics of. I'll post them up later.

Heh. Hadn't really thought about it like that, but yeah, I guess "classic" is all I really know.

I guess I might as well have just stepped out of a time capsule.
I started playing paintball back in '88 - '89 when I was a sophomore in high school, and I got my first Automag in '91. I was captain of a local team from '90 - '92, but stopped playing when I joined the Marines in March of '92.
I played a few times when I got out in '96, but then life happened, and I had no time.
Just recently my oldest daughter and I attended a paintball birthday party for one of her class mates, and I was hooked again.
In the last month, I've purchased around a dozen "parts" guns, and have been steady restoring automags. I actually just gave my daughter the first finished one for her birthday tonight.

Well.... like I was saying, I guess I'm old school, low tech. It's from an airbrush, and Testors paint.

Back in the early '90's I airbrushed my first mag with the German Flektarn pattern. It's held up pretty well over the years.....

I just recently swapped out the original body for one with a power feed, and changed out the stock barrel. Added a fore grip, and changed out the old braided line for macro line.
I plan on repainting it MARPAT, and if I can find them, swap out the old grips for wood grips.

had to look at it a couple of times as it looked like an open port to me not a plug.
