Also, "Ultra ULE milled" and a custom feed port.
    100% doable.

Exactly. I really don't expect much interest hence the remark >>
At the very least this is my next marker.
It's just what I like, simple and clean. It really does not matter if it ends up being a one off, this will be the next marker I field. The bigger picture is in house made slug bodies.

I am still waiting to see what you have now... Dreams of what you could do are nice but what you and have done matter more.

So where you looking at an old Shocktech catalog when you came up with it? Just curious to see where your process starts.

Fair question even if there is an air of sarcasm in your tone () the process starts with what I like not what I think everyone else like.

I honestly never expected any support for this design, my best expectations would be a few at the most. But for this project it's about proof of functional design nothing more. Making an over the valve full length slug body on a lathe is a trick in itself for most machine shops. Yes, completely doable for the competent shops like XMT and whoever AGD used but not easy. Not sure if anyone has attempted a full length slug body on a VMC but I believe it's doable at this point.

More to the point, this design goes back years>>>

(See post 100 and 101) it's inspiration from of a concept that nmib submitted to the MM2k9 project. He gave me permission to borrow from the design. Not sure if his pictures are still up (they didn't load) but its been hanging on my bulletin board since 2007.

This kind of body style isn't my thing either, but that's just my personal taste.

That being said, I'm pretty excited about the notion of full body slug. It promises for exiting things in the future, so keep up what you're doing.

I like it a lot, I think the real steal lines work really well with a rail/body design. What's old is new again, like the stripling on the new twister frames and Danny Love releasing a new body at shocktech.

I think everything else I've seen is a rehash of a deadly winds design or another variation somewhere between a ripper and a twister. This is original and looks awesome.

Plus, you gotta accentuate what you have to work with, more complex designs need a crazy amount of axis's and ridiculously complex toolpaths.

It reminds me of a high end 1911 without trying to be milsim or another duck ripoff.

Are you able to do one piece bodies?

Doubtful. I do not know the machinery that Luke uses, but i will assume that they are manual machines. Plus the body and rail dictate that. A unibody would require a CnC machine.

Yes. And have plans to make them, just have to get the first prototype done. Once I prove (to myself) I can machine the deep counter bores on the VMC sky's the limit.

Already stated I'm making these on a VMC.

A one piece body is no more difficult than a standard one.

he could probably mill something nicer than my prints but if he puts holes in place I can print a mod of my adapter.
I would need to work stuff out with luke first of course.

No, clue on machine names. VMC could stand for "Virginia Military Catapult" or "virtual modified cup". I try to follow various machine threads, but i just don't know enough to follow much. I just onow that when things spin, keep fingers, hands and loose clothing away crom it. Would love to but haven't the time nor the deep interest in diving into them no offense intended. Which is why i said, "assuming", cause sometimes i get things wrong...

    Vertical milling centre
It's not easy doing the internal features on the mill,
The bores are far more easier to do on a lathe but there is some decent tooling available for the mill, a decent u-drill and boring head works wonders
You should pop iron sights on the top, looks like a colt body I started to knock up a while back

I've redesigned the harder to machine areas to make it doable on a mill.

Still looking for a small detail to machine in the sides of the LPR-FG, something that would complement the side milling of the body. I tried a bunch of stuff but nothing I really liked...

I like it. Big fan of super clean look.

Can existing LPR-FG be milled to new ULE design?

Probably not, the areas that would get milled on this would have been removed already or at least slimmed down on the others. Even the ULE on this pack will be minimal, the hope would be to get it in the same range as the others.

emag Bpack style lpr forgrip is nice.
I like the look. should try to make it a 3 piece like the packs.
