Thread: Introducing The Deflator

Damn, I know the reactions to these has been a little mixed but I really like them, just can't justify the cost right now with a baby on the way and how little I play.

I'm with you. I love this body. Only way it could look better to me is if it had a true vert frame. When this project started I had all my spair parts ready to flip for this. They ended up getting flipped for my Geo. And now I'm bout to make trip #2 to germany for the summer. Needless to say I just get to drule over these now.

What makes a true vert frame compared to these?

The Mini Vert is an 86* frame and is closer to the height of a 45 frame.
The "true" vert is 90* and is as tall as a building (lol, kidding) the Mag vert frames are modeled after the Angel frames. Personally I'm not a big fan of them but many people like them.

I loved my Y when stopped and in firing position. But when in assault while moving it stunk. I always wished it was more vert when in a moving assault position and more Y when my hand slid down in to a tucked in firing position. If that makes any sence.

Anyone interested in a Deflator body? Speak up so I know how many to make.
Slugs are made so it wont take long, about 3 weeks.
Can be purchased direct from my website under the Bodies tab.

Thanks Big Bob, who did the ano? I would also like to hear some feedback on the assembly when you're done. I think it's straight forward but I would like to hear a different perspective.

Blizzard Anodizing. I told him to surprise me. It turned out better than I could have hoped for and better than anything I had thought of.
Also thanks for properly posting the picture. Once I get it and assemble it Ill snap some more pictures.

Awesome color and ano style, Big Bob. This will probably be a project of mine next year, I'll keep Blizzard Anodizing in mind!

That kind of makes me rethink going with satin black. The lines didn't get lost like I thought they may.

Do you mind me asking what it cost you to get it done.

Yeah the colors and style he chose really helped keep all the lines nice and visible. I think a splash would detract from the lines which is why I originally wanted an acid wash but this turned out so good.
