bow's warpless Halo build
I originally wanted to do a boxmag, but when Loguzzzz's brackets came out, I decided to switch over. Plus, I had these great, red Halo shells and I play German side at OK D-Day, so the timing seemed perfect.
There's a picture limit per post, so you'll just have to scroll to see the whole thing.
Let me know what you think.
I can talk later about the things I did wrong. One of those was trying to get too fancy with the raceway rerouting. I wanted the copper elbow to snug in there and contour to the path of the paintballs. This is unnecessary, complicated, and means I ended up chopping way more than I needed to. It only partially worked anyway. Also, I shouldn't have cut the bottom off the feed. If I had left it alone, it would have added more support in the end.
Here's what I did cut
and here's what I ended up with
I wanted to use 45* elbows to make the upward transition smoother and I wanted the first elbow to line up with the path of the original raceway as closely as possible.

next comes the shells.
Basically, I just went really slow and used the sanding bit on the dremel to try my best not to take off too much.

To get facing up, I just needed to add another 45* elbow.
Make sure to smooth off the front edge as the one I got was rather sharp and could have shredded the paint.
I have a torque-tuned motor for this, but thought that I might be able to get away without it if I used a detent somewhere along the line. The easiest place seemed right after the turn.
I found that a 3/4" PVC pipe fits pretty closely over the 3/4" copper elbow. So I decided to see if a Tippmann detent could fit between them.
Sure enough...

And here's the final thing. I hope to get some video up next week at D-Day. If anyone is coming out, hit me up and I'll let you throw it around a bit.
I need to give a word of thanks to all the guys who have done this mod in the past and posted info about it. Mine may look a little different, but there's no way I could've done it with out all your work and great information.
Peace.
