    Wow! Blast from the past. I remember them. Helped keep dirt and liquid out of the gun with co2 systems.

    I had gotten a mag, it held air but just could not get it to fire correctly. Took apart the valve, changed out the sear, everything. Still nothing, then I noticed this thing inside the hose. Took the damn thing out and the mag shot beautifully.

    Sometimes people would use just the filter elements (no housing) and stuff them into the valve body under the 1/8" NPT pipe connection. It looked clean, but it hid the filter and you might not think to look for a clog there.
