Because you have to host the pic in order for everyone to be able to see it. Since this or any forum is not hooked into your computer, it would be unable to access it.

There are plenty of picture hosting sites for you to use. This is nothing new

Strange. When I click on "insert image," I see two tabs. One "From Computer" and one "From URL."

You might need to hit a critical number of posts before you're allowed to do that. I know many other online forums won't let you add a signature or profile picture until you hit 100 posts (or some other number). This might be something similar.

    Scott-

What does it look like when you click the "Insert Image" button? Does it look something like this?

(May not look exact, stole from Vbulletin.com )

You may need to actually click the "From Computer" tab. After it should "select files" and upload it to our server. I checked your account and it looks fine on my end.

I think it was when we upgraded the servers a few years ago.

I went all in with Dropbox.com. They had a thing called "public folders" and had all my images pointing to it. Unfortunately, they made a change to public folders since so many pirates used it to share illegal stuff. Now all of my pictures are completely broke. I'm slowly moving them over to our server here. What a pain....
