Basically every so often Facebook starts flagging marker sales and anything that looks like a marker gets flagged. The result of that is 1 of the major groups being shut down.

Facebook put the AGD BST Facebook group “under review” since some Canuck reported the use of the word “gun” or something.

Every so often is being nice. Seems like they flag 9/10 of the sale posts I try. Hell even grip panels.

Let's see. Go to forums, go looking for posts on what you want to comment on.

I'm on FB, I know how it works, I just don't join any groups, I'm there for family and old friends.
I prefer forums because it is easier to keep up to date on the things I'm watching or involved in.

The cool thing about Paintball groups on FB is that you can check up on multiple groups along with your other interests and hobbies, then back to paintball (Automag) stuff. PM’s seem easier also.
Even though I’m somewhat of a latecomer to AO, I’d never abandon it for Facebook.

When Facebook finally self destructs from it's leftist ways, something new will come along to take it's place,.. then in a few years repeat.

Facebook sucks more and more everyday. If you value your First and Secondment rights then STAY OFF douchebook. Someone is watching and recording everything you do there. Nothing but a bunch of leftist traitors run it. Ever hear of Red Flag Laws? Better read up on that.

You do realize by using any service, a 3rd party like Facebook, that it means that their views supersede anything to do with the 1st & 2nd ammendments. Its not that Facebook is doing anything more than what is required in the law. It is the same for here. If i break the rules, that results in punishment. As much as i don't like it, that is the law.

I am not sure what "law" you are referring to but FB is indeed allowed to make its own rules and administer them as they want. I think most people have a problem with the fact that they dangle the carrot of "free speech" and then take it away without complete fairness to both sides. They have been cracking down on the left wing nuts a bit more but I think that is more of a PR move than an actual problem with philosophy.

See, folks tend to get a little salty when they can't say words like "gun" yet the actual law protects their right to own one. Then they have to stomach that same purveyor of "free speech" allowing Antifa groups to talk about assaulting people and other groups touting how great Shariah law is.

No one, not one group is saying they aren't allowing or preventing anyone one's right to own firearms. But as a business and/or a domain, they have the right to dictate what they want or disallow on their site, as it were. Just as it is against the rules to put pornography on this site, and the mods & admin have the right to remove and/or ban said individuals for breaking the rules. That is what i am getting at. It is far easier(not that i agree with it) to flag a word and remove all references, groups, post that contain said word than to sift through each flagging and deem it worthy or not.

Oh and try to get the NRA to actually fight for your rights in the matter, for they just want your dues and don't really care one iota about anything but their own selfish needs.

While some may disagree with the NRA's decision to roll over on losing issues like bump stocks, a statement that the NRA doesn't care about gun rights or hasn't done more than any other organization to protect gun rights goes down as the most ridiculous thing I have read this week.

The NRA only cares about the dues it receives from membership, what it can get from political ties qnd nothing for the common gun owner. The NRA should be and was a blanket association for all gun ownership, that if you are not a member that they will through the association, come help defend your sopposed rights. But yet in the past 30+ years, that has fallen to the wayside. This is not an an attack but a fact. The NRA has changed stances in the 70s from a furtherment of gun safety, gun acceptance to a political organization that is selfish in what it can get, namely your dues, for its own needs. But please enlighten me to what if anything has the NRA done in centent times to justify such blind devotion, in say the past 20 years?

Edit: and please tell me what this has to do with a bumpfire stock? They are stupid, a loophole in the law, have no legitimate hunting, target or recreational purpose. They are legitimately like pumping 2k psi into a RT just to see how fast you can shoot and are incredibly poor in actual play. So please, please educate the masses.

The fact that you don't believe that the NRA sponsors safety and firearm training events or does anything else than political efforts is evidence that the media has cast them in an unfavorable light and got people to believe their garbage. That or you are just woefully ignorant on the matter. I found 8 upcoming training and safety events within 50 miles of my zipcode on their website in the next 6 months. Either you have been led to believe a falsehood or you want to believe it...either way you are wrong.

Is the NRA more political now than it used to be? Certainly...but what isn't? Every time there is some idiot shooting someone it becomes political. You have to fight fire with fire, unfortunately. I wish my contributions didn't have to go to political drivel but I know that the efforts to limit "gun acceptance" and the future of firearm ownership is very much political in nature.

Since you obviously don't know what the bumpstock debate and the NRA's involvement is, let me enlighten you. The NRA is taking flak from some hard core gun owners because they are supporting Trump's recent efforts to ban them. This has cast them in an unfavorable light with some gun owners that believe bump stocks should be kept legal.

I'd follow that up with if you do any online shopping, use any electronic form of payments (paypal, Credit cards, Debit cards), use any discount cards. Its almost impossible to not be tracked in some way shape or form. Maybe your info is privately shared for advertisements that will better target you as the audience, or maybe its out there publicly and being leaked, but its there. F**kBook is just the one that people are actively feeding a lot of their info to because it makes them seem "social."

I am neither a fan nor an opponent of the NRA...there are things they do right and things they screw up. The bumpstock thing is one they have screwed up on.

This all started with an item called the Akins Accellerator. It was a bumpstock for a Ruger 10/22. The big difference is it used a spring to activate it. The ATF looked at it at least 3 times that I am aware of and every time ruled it legal.

Why legal? The definition of a machinegun per federal law is "a firearm that fires more than one round per pull of the trigger". All the Akins Accellerator (and bumpstocks) do is make it easy to pull the trigger over and over rapidly. That does not meet the federal definition of a machinegun.

So...enough pressure was put on the ATF till finally they decided to change their decision on the Akins Accelerator and it was declared a machinegun. Lawsuits were placed and eventually the ATFcame to an agreement that if the spring was removed they would be legal. Thus came the bumpstock...instead of a spring pushing the gun (specifically trigger) forwards into your stationary finger you now use your offhand to push the gun (and trigger) forwards into the stationary finger.

Again...still not a machinegun but sounds like one...and to anyone who doesn't know the difference seems to be one.

So...the ATF has not only declared the Akins Accellerator as legal over and over...then came to a legal agreement via a lawsuit that it was legal as long as it doesn't have a spring...and then on numerous reviews declared the bumpstocks legal...and now is looking at changing that decision making hundreds of thousands of people into instant criminals.

This all came to public notice with the shooting at Las Vegas. But there are issues with that entire event. Some might claim conspiracy theory yet look into it all yourself. Why would he have 20 some firearms to do a mass shooting with multiple magazines...either load all of the guns and shoot one and dump it and grab another loaded one and just move from gun to gun...why reload? Or...have a few and a mess of reloads. Additionally look into the AR Swift Link...it is a device to trick an AR into being a true full auto. The only reference to it even among machinegun owners and makers is specifically in regards to this shooting. They are not made or sold by anyone. There is the laptop in his room that the Feds say was used to post on the internet during the shooting...yet was found to be missing its hard drive when they went thru the evidence. What happened to it? Why is there no video footage or photos of him in the hotel in the days before and during this? Every gambling casino has every square inch watched and recorded. Then there is the coroner refusing to release the autopsy reports...

    It goes on and on.
