You can see the rails in all the pictures here, there's several that show the shape pretty good.

And there's more here but not with the body>> http://lukescustoms.com/lc-hybrid-rails.html

Do you consider that a fishtail or is the split you dislike?

I prefer the standard look like this :

This is what to me looks like a fish tail (not my preference) :

OK gentlemen. I finally received all my tooling but materials wont deliver until the 19th for the full run of slug bodies. I had 6' of material which is enough to machine 7 bodies (baring any screw ups). I'm machining these anyway so I can dial in the programing, plus I need to machine and test the fixtures ahead of the production run. Since I have 12 days I can go ahead and machine the Armada bodies now instead of waiting if everyone is ready to order. I haven't worked out the numbers but I can just charge what AGD charged for slug bodies and what I originally charged on the first 4 bodies that I did years ago, the chances of them being cheaper after running the numbers is slim to none with material prices going up. We can wrap this up asap if you guy want, LMK and I can get it setup.

going_home, if you want one without the fishtail you'll want to get in pre-production so I can make that change in programing.

    First program completed

I now only do full pay, partial payments are a huge PITA and only slow me up.

I'll get a private order page setup to allow you guys here to get first dibs. I'll try and get it done tomorrow morning then I'll PM everyone that voted to get the project done.

    Thanks

Ok let me know, I'll take one without the fish tail, and a rail if they are done.

Probably need sear and sear pin if you have them.

Bought my body and rail. After buying Luke's rails I know he does a great job and pics don't do the products justice. I can't wait to get this combo in, I'm gonna put all the other projects on the back burner and focus on this build. I already have an anodize in mind for it. Maybe I should even source an emag frame for this build.

Just a little teaser, slug body prototypes are done. All the math looks good but will need to test after the Armada machining is done. I'll start machining fixtures for the Armadas tomorrow..

Here's how I'm dong the spring cup/retainer on the new slugs, I couldn't find the necessary tooling to do this on the Deflator bodies. These are easier to install and remove compared to the AGD version. The retainer clip lines up with the front edge of the sear slot so it's easy to get to with a pick.

If you look closly you can see the retainer groove.

    Single-Turn Spiral Internal Retaining Rings.
These are common 'off the shelf' clips from McMaster Carr. These have a little hook on the end to aid in removal.

The last Armada body is running on the mill now. I still have rails to make then everything needs to be ran through the deburr tank. I also need to test them to make sure were good to go. I wouldn't count on shipping until next week.
As soon as this project is don I'll be doing a large run of slug bodies and more slug rails. I had a vision for the next body/rail so I'll start those as soon as I get through all the production.

    Thank you gentlemen.

I'm excited to see what you guys do with your builds, I think this is the direction I'm going to go.

I've been looking for the right setup to do a gas through foregrip with panels.

One body left, I believe there are two guys I haven't heard from yet that expressed interest.

Grooves may not be a bad idea, this is just a 2 minute concept drawing. The Z's just look bad IMO with little spindly foregrips. This one wouldn't be as wide or thick as a grip frame but big enough that it would feel substantial in your hand. It should be a perfect platform for a Sidekick, good stability for 'right hand free' ripping on the trigger.

Oh yea, the forward position and the rounded area where the marker would rest between the thumb and pointer finger is just a guess, both would be adjusted for proper fit and feel.
