    Well, it was called a "border bill". Give 20b to the border, and almost five times that overseas. Sounds more like foreign aid bill to me with a little bit of border thrown in.
    When that died, what happened? They pushed for the foreign aid money ~ Not the border money.

    So the boarder bill, that was written by Sen Hoffmann(R) that by all accounts gave everything that the GOP wanted. Then, the Speaker of the house, tied any foreign money to that, then the ex-president thought that getting the bill passed would give Biden a win, and told c9ngress to kill it.

    Tying multiple bills together is not a foreign concept and most of the time, it is needed as a bill may not get the attention or votes on its own. So, you do not support Israel, Taiwan or Ukraine? Are you saying that you do not support our allies or democracy or helping countries that have violent aggressors that wish to do further harm to our allies?

    You'd think that every time you hear of some faction or other wants to "normalize" something, the implication is that they feel it was abnormal to begin with.
    Actual abnormal Americans? Sounds like an oxymoron but if this thread is anything to judge by...

    Yeah. the hangover was epic. But I'm back to my usual irascible self.

    And what happened in the meantime? This, to start;
    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...-georgia-rally

    Apparently, it's un-democratic to "play nice" and resolve conflict without the use of arms. And here I thought that was pretty much the definition of diplomacy. Trump walked into North Korea and spoke with Kim Jong Un, do you think Biden could do that? NK won't even take a phone call from Joe Biden. Being respectful of the leader of another nation doesn't mean "sucking up to" them. We've seen Bidens' alternative with Kim now threatening to use nukes.

    Or this;
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...2f8e866&ei=134

    This is what Biden does. Throw taxpayer dollars at a problem rather than fix it. The article lists what money goes to where, and I notice a curious omission. Not a single dollar to actually stopping illegal crossing between border entry points. Only pay for illegal migrants after they cross the border, don't pay to prevent them crossing. Much like Sen. Hoffmans bill, although that one would have nationalized the Texas Nat'l Guard and prevented Gov. Abbot from control of his own state guard as well as preventing Texas from litigating border concerns within their own state, requiring all that to be done in D.C.
    That bill did not give Republicans "everything they wanted" and even gave a "cap" of 5,000 crossings a day before any action was considered. That's still 1.8 million a year, almost four times that of Trumps worst year during the Covid crises.

    Don't believe me? Ask any Immigration Judge ~ Oh, wait, you can't.
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/im...2f8e866&ei=153

    I look at the Southern Border like a water pipe in my kitchen. If it breaks, and water comes flooding in, I fix the break and mop up the mess. I don't waste money giving the water "pathways" into the rest of my house as it comes pouring through. Unfortunately, Joe Biden deliberately broke that pipe with executive orders and has refused to repair it, merely spending our money spreading it out until everyone in the house is sick of being wet.
    <edit to add>
    And this;
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...12212208&ei=20

    I might still be a little hungover.

    If im not mistaken, isn't India also deploying thousands of troops along their boarders now? Countries with 'excess' people to spare are always dangerous.

    And if you had a clue, you would know from history that Pakistan and India have a history, and India and China have a history. So if you mix in that India is making a claim to be a global nation, that those kinds of conflicts are pr for the course, projection of power on the global front.

    No, you didn't summarize anything. You were trying to be flippant or fu NY saying that countries that have high populations will throw around that weight to do things countries do.

    Now the Democrats are saying they wont certify the election if Trump wins...good luck with that. They want to see a REAL insurrection. They are going to get one. Run and hide in Mommies basement. Screaming at the sky may help too...

    Congratulations, you actually are calling it an insurrection now and not mincing words. Nice of you to fully embrace your fascist nature. So now you can just stop trying to justify anything that has to do with the word of law, and the constitution because you obviously do not support those notions. Come on, a 2 party system? No thank you Tuna. 1 party, 1 rule, 1 colour.

    This one made me laugh;
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...18a3bea3&ei=19

    Maybe from The Onion or Babylon Bee I could understand it. But, seriously? I swear these politicians keep the best drugs for themselves.
    C'mon, man! An ex-circuit court judge saying Trump is an insurrectionist without using the "rule of law" or trial by jury of peers, any conviction of such or even any charges of insurrection.
    J. Michael Luttig has, on his own, pre-judged Trump to be guilty of insurrection and is now scolding the Supreme Court saying that it's "unforgivable" that they refuse to be equally prejudicial.
    What a joke. All the Supreme Court said was the no one State (and by extrapolation, no single Attorney General or ex-judge) could decide something that would require a Congressional decision.
    If you want to call him guilty, then bring charges in court and convict him. But they won't do that. Why? I think I can tell you.
    IF they charge Trump, he can present evidence in his defense. The same evidence from 3 years ago that Trump filed over 60 times in different courts, that no Judge would let go to litigation.
    Not a single time was that evidence allowed into a courtroom for public scrutiny. That's what they don't want coming out. That's why no charges. Can't go casting shade on election integrity. After all, it's perfect and safe and secure and every vote counts. That's why the rules change just before every election.
    The Founding Fathers understood the definition of the word "insurrection" when it was written into the Constitution, they had just come out of one that killed over 86,000 Americans over three years.
    How many were killed at the Capital on Jan 6? One unarmed woman shot by Capital Police. Boy, that's one heck of an insurrection for you there, I tell you what.

    What happened Jan 6 was not an insurrection, not even close. Blaming Trump is a fiction.
    Refuse to give American Citizens an honest choice in free, fair, transparent elections? FAFO what an insurrection looks like.

    Just calling a spade a spade.

    I find it funny that you think that you are part of that party that only wants power and to rule over. You are neither in their tax bracket nor have anything but your uneducated devotion to those that literally tell you what to do, what to think and how to act. Just wait till THEY take away something you want or need or like a good little boy, you'll just take it on your knees?

    I know you are normally just told what to think, so I shouldn't be too hard on your reading comprehension, but I was speaking for you, in that sentence. I changed the tense. And this is also why we need to better fund education.

    But tell me, who is a better film maker, in your opinion Tuna. Is it DaSousa or Leni Riefenstahl? I know you have a hard on for 200 mules, but Triumph of the Will?

    No body tells me what or how to think. Unlike you, I am not a Democrat sheep. Yea...more money for education when every city that you democrats run produces high school kids that graduate with a 3rd grade reading comprehension. Some have ZERO students that can pass a 3rd grade test. Get real.

    You're hilarious!!

    You are a talking foxnews advertisement. I can take everything you say directly from last night's shows. Your rage isn't natural, it is repetition. There is nothing unique or different about what you say. You are a cookie cutter foxnews news conservative that has gone MAGA, cause trump makes you feel bigger and better and he owns the libs. All the while you can't do anything but pay fraud-in-chief's legal bills for the litany of ongoing criminal cases.

    Even your retort, is as backwards as your thinking. If they can't pass a 3rd grade test, then more money and resources need to be put in to provide what is necessary for life in the 21st century. Your ignorance exactly proves my point.

    But come on, tell me. DeSousa or Riefenstahl? Who's your pick?

    How very democratic. More money and taxpayer funded resources thrown at a problem not dependent on finance.

    You dropped 150 grand in a [...] education you could have got for a dollar fifty in late charges at the public library.
    From a movie I saw years ago, and I agree with.

    Statistically, home schooled and self-educated people perform at a higher academic level. Independant of financial situation and rarely due to a government intervention or indoctrination.
    It's a matter of motivation. After all, the information itself is out there, sitting in dusty books on library shelves. Go find it or don't.
    Of course, in the "21st century" there's an app to tell you what to do, right? Is that where the money goes for resources?

    How else do you fix a problem? Teachers quitting because they can't make a living or school's don't glhave the necessary tools to give their students not an edge but competitiveness in the 21st century. But you see, when you have an educated workforce, they will make more money, thrn the government will tax them on it, thus those taxes, while not immediately paying for their cost, will eventually provide, not just in the taxes but funding the next generation of doctors, scientists that could make our future better.

    Besides, why don't you think of the children?

    Where are the statistics? Not your pull from your buttcheeks odds, but good hard statistics. Cause, even in your sentence, a self educated person is not at any academic level. They are out of academia. Some states criteria for hoke education does not meet most states minimum for education, and thus are religious based, which is the opposite of secular and have been shown totally absent in teaching real world education. But I guess you like them pregnant and dumb and as long as they stay in the kitchen, you don't care...

    Here's a bit of public school education. Where is the subject of that sentence? Talk about a run on sentence. You're missing a bunch of nouns, verbs and a subject.

    Grammatically, you are all over the place, but I think I know what you're trying to get at. Education starts with a book, having the access to a book. Because some people do not have the resources in their school, (because some GOP likes to keep it's supporters dumb, hence the under or not funding of educstion), the same resources that fund schools, ALSO funds libraries. So, you are wrong about having the access to. And if you live in backwards states like Florida, you have idiots banning books because they just don't understand a book that doesn't come with pictures.

    You can also toss in the lack of transportation, i.e. busses that not only are plentiful but also go to the disenfranchised areas, cause they don't run after "midnight".

    No, but where the money should go is to the classes, schools to teach how to make that app. An app is a tool, but if you can't fund those that make the tools, you can't really use the tool can you. And by your arguments, you are following the same logic of the ruling class in a great satirical movie, "Idocracy".

    Damn, I was hoping for more Tuna facist ranting but this is a turd of a rebuttal that I'm answering.

    Or, not hear me out, or we can talk about how the "Billionaire" Donnie trump can't pay his bills. I know, not the 1st time for that. He has stiffed thousands of people he hasn't paid, but not be able to pay his $483mil bill for loosing in court cause that much money is a financial hardship? Lol, what a looser.oh, all his money is tied up in real-estate, you might say. Well, I am rich in good karma, but I can't use that to pay my bills.

    But he doesn't have to use his money, and he could find someone to underwrite him, but so far, all those companies want cash to provide a bound. They don't want his properties. A good businessman would have those kinds of funds. A great businessman would have someone else pay it for him. The trump brand can't come up cash for the checks that trump writes with his criminal mouth.

    But trump is being framed, you might say. Well, he had plenty of time in court to prove his innocence. But when he couldn't keep his mouth shut, he was being found by juries of his peers and then by the incompetence of his council of his guilt.

    But then, in a surprise move, he puts is DIL in charge of the RNC. So instead of helping any and all republicans get elected in November, they'll be paying, and by that, those of you that donated to the RNC, the court fees that trump has gotten, cause he got no money. So, any sort of red wave is not going to happen.

    Now that is a subject we can get into. Which is still talking about facists, lol
