    Lightest Mags?

Here are my two babys. The silver/blue one weighs in at 1lb 10oz, and the black/red one (when I remove the bike grip from the foregrip) weighs in at 1lb 9oz. Add in a 2oz Stiffi, and they both come in at 1lb 11-12oz. And they're completely functional, not "the lightest, but I'm missing some parts".

If anyone is curious, warpig made a "ULE on a diet" mag back in the day with what was available, which came up to the same weight at the one I've got, but theirs didn't have a foregrip:

    List of parts:
Homebrew Pariah(?) body (ULE body with the front cut off)
    Cyberave rail
    X-valve
Some cheap clamping feedneck from ebay
    carbon fiber grip frame
DW carbon fiber foregrip (with optional bikegrip for better grip) (and yes, I did cut about 1/2" off the blue one so the bike grip would fit better)
    Datapimp dropforward receiver
    Stiffi barrel

I'll have to get a better picture with how it is now. With the X-Valve and a different foregrip (Shocktech), it weighs in at 1 lb 8 oz with asa/rail. With a DW Fibur barrel & insert and an empty Prophecy (with 4AAs), it comes in at 2 lbs 15 oz. Lightest Mag I've ever held. The rail is ULE'd internally in pretty much every place possible. I could probably drop a couple of ounces by switching the Micro-Rock with a Tickler or something, but it just works too good.

lordy you must have missed out on the carbon fibre sleave body mags that were around a few months ago. I'm sure they will make their way into this thread, but it was CF just about everything.

I do know my mag was lighter than my friends shocker by an ounce or two, and that was before i got my ULE rail and new grip. Haven't had a scale since then.

I got mine down to about 1lb 3oz I think it was... got some more ideas/work being done on it to shave it on off to get it 1lb or less...

When I get back to the left coast, I'll be working it over again to see what I can come up with, and yes there are variations that I can do that will make it under 1lb, but I don't consider that proper... like making a car weigh under 1K lbs, but not having any antifreeze, oil or tires on it.

Not quite the same thing ya know...

I'm calling shens on myself for this one. I will raise my hand in court and swear that I saw 1 lb 8 oz when I weighed the gun a couple of weeks ago. Put it back on the scale last night...2 lbs 8 oz. My bad. Let the mocking begin.

There was a guy a couple of months ago that was selling a collection of them in the Dealers section I think. I think it was StygShore. You might want to PM him to see if he's got any left.
