A tremendous "THANK YOU" to XmagTerror for helping me out of a xmag-threatening jam.
My brother had been waiting for a while now to re-anno his aging Xmag. A trip to get the bushing removed prior to anno resulted in near disaster. The set screw that holds it in place would not come out. In order to remove the ring, it had to be forced past it - resulting in a destroyed body ring and mushed threads inside the body itself.
We figured we would call agd and just get another one. There were enough good threads left inside to make due if needed. Well.. turns out - there are no more available.
So we were pretty much BONED.
Here are some pics.

After thinking about it and weighing my options I contacted XmagTerror. Not only was he able to fabricate an EXACT duplicate of the stainless steel ring for me, he was also able to make a tool sufficient to repair the damaged threads. (along with removing the seized set screw and re tapping the hole)
I just got the gun back from GBA today. Here is how it came out...
