Automag Barrel Adapters Back In Stock!

Doc,

Seeing the difference in my barrels i guessed as much. I've measured the following barrels:

- Redz pepperstick
- Stiffi Stiff-stick
- Smart parts all american (new type back, no insert)
- Pmi barrel (stock barrel on my xmag)
- J&J Stock Tac-one barrel

I also have a lapco bigshot barrel, and i've tried it. The fit is less wobbly than with some other barrels. I did not measure it because it was on my friends cocker, that is waiting for a custom pump rod (some rare german made cocker with metric threads for the front block) Funny thing is, the lapco fits, but the J&J is too big for this cocker.

Anyways, the threads hold the barrel tight enough, so it's good enough for me. I just was so suprised to find the fit so loose, and the tolerance differences in the barrels i have. Atleast now i know why. And my opinion on your adapter still stands, a great quality product that clearly shows there has been put attention into details. I could not discover any burrs or very sharp edges. And i know 304 stainless isn't the easiest material to work with.

seriously where is doc?...i have 2 cocker barrels that i've been dying to use on my mag but cant without this adapter...i should have just ordered a twistlock barrel at this rate....

Sorry guys, I ran out of detents and had to order more. Almost everyone was ordering two and three extras, which used up my supply faster than I'd expected.

Most of yours should be arriving tomorrow (Friday the 12th) and the rest are on the way.

[Edit] That is, you should have your adapters tomorrow. Not that we're still waiting on detents. Thought I'd clarify that. [/Edit]

A couple of you, that ordered two or more additional detents, I had to drop that back to just the one supplied with the adapter, and threw in some stickers to make up the extra buck or two. If that's not kosher, just let me know and we'll work something out.

Sorry about that, I thought I had enough, but no biggie. They're standard Spyder/Intimidator detents; most stores'll have 'em on hand so it's not like I'm the only supplier.

oh thank the stars! all we wanted was an update on these from you doc...you seemed to have just up and disappeared...i take back anything rude i may have said...cant wait to get this into my mag!

Look guys, I don't just "up and disappear", okay?

Yes, I'm slow with 'mail and always short on time which means I don't often get a chance to read even my own bulletin boards, let alone some of the others. Doesn't mean I've "disappeared".

I should point out I've been doing gun and other work now for just over ten years, with eight of those under the Docsmachine.com domain.

I haven't disappeared yet, I have no plans to disappear in the future.

But I'm still a one-man shop, I have no secretary, and I still have plenty of work to do, both customer and personal, and sometimes- all to often, really- it gets to the point where I have time to DO the work, or I have time to tell you I'm going to do the work, but not both. And since I like tinkering a lot more than I like typing, I'd rather do, than spend time saying I'm gonna do.

Haven't heard from me in a while? If the comic hasn't updated in, let's say three or four days, then you'll know I've either died, been kidnapped, or I'm in a coma in the hospital under "John Doe" because the fire burned away my wallet as I was trying to rescue that load of orphans off the burning bus just before it exploded.

If the comic keeps being updated, then I'm still here, still alive, and most likely still spending most of my waking hours out in the shop. If I'm not working on yours, I'm working on somebody's, and every customer is equally important. All right?
