My Mag is finally done (I think)

I've really only had one Mag that I use, and it one has been through MANY iterations.

It started out as a classic Mag I bought back in '96. A few years ago I got back into paintball and started modifying it.

It eventually turned into this:



Then went to this:



Then I started the EgoMag project and it became this:



After some modifications it turned into this:



A couple more tweaks and this is what I got (with the X-valve and a Micro-Rock):



And I finally finished this up the other night and here is where she sits:





I got the front box from ezcreation here and it ended up working really well. I had to modify the asa holes in the rail a bit, but no problem really, just a drill and round file. Here is what it looks like inside the box:





So, for now, she's complete. It's been really fun working on this gun. I know for a fact that I've spent many more hours working on it in the garage than playing with it on the field, but I'm more than happy doing that. Just something about tinkering and getting things to work that I love about it.

Why did you ditch the X-valve, then go back to it?

Also, what kind of 3-way is that and where do ya get it?

This is why I love mag's so damned much. You can do pretty much anything with them... as long as you're not trying to get a 68/4500 to last more than a small pod pack.

Ditched the Y because I picked up a Cheater and had to get an Intelli. The grip panels went with a Classic RT I just sold. Seeing as how I'm just running with Ego (actually, it's an Etek) frame, didn't really need them anymore.

Ando is right, the 3-way is the same small one they sell on ASP (Air Soldier Products), but I actually got that one from Loguzzzzzz.

And Frizzle, I was using the Classic at first because it was working just fine and figured I'd sell the X for some extra $$$. But, of course for the weight reduction and coolness factor of it I stuck with the X. As it's shown in the photos it weighs in at around 2 pounds 11 ounces.

I like it. Very nice. It's a shame that the mag curse will not allow you to keep it as is, and thus the cycle will continue!!

I like your progression, I started with a Minimag. Now there is noting from the marker that remains so now i have 2 and enough parts to build 1.5 more. But I guess that is the common syndrome around here.
