Level 10 bolt doesn't fit the Proteam Micromag body.

I decided to upgrade my powerfeed Proteam Micromag to a level 10 the same as my other mags. As I attempted to put the valve assembly in, I noticed it wouldn't go all the way into the body. Closer inspection revealed that the bolt diameter was too large for the breach hole in the body. I had heard of others having this problem but hadn't really though much about it until now.

Are all micromags having this problem of just a few in the production line? Are the new vertical feed Micromag 2000 series having this problem, or just the older powerfeed bodies?

Anyone with micromgs and level 10's, let us know.

I can get them to work on Micro-E's and other Micromags, just can't get them to work on Z-Body's. Best advice is smooth out the tip of the bolt where it's raised.

I may play around with it after the weekend. I'm not sure how much has to come off the bolt. I may hone out the breach just a bit instead. That way, it'll work with all future level 10 bolts as well.

I'm not too worried about the problem. I am more concerned that others may have a similar problem and should be aware that adjustments may need to be made.

no, the level 10 fits, you just have to do something:

I have a micro emag, and I had that problem initially.

the problem is that the aluminum washer in the mainbody can develop a "burr" in it - so you just have to take some sandpaper (I used 60 grit) and gently sand the washer.

after about 1 minute's work, It was fine, and my level 10 fit perfectly.

I have a PTP 2000 vert feed body and my lx bolt fits fine. I can't get the thing to stop leaking, but it fits.

Bulldog, I have the same setup.

What carrier do you have in it right now and where are you leaking? After approximately 4000 rounds I have gone from my initial setup of #2 carrier with the medium spring to .5 carrier/medium spring. Send me a PM....maybe I can help

                Bulldog:

Try taking out all the shims and dropping down a carrier size or two. Make sure you use plenty of lubricant.

Once you find the proper carrier size that doesn't leak, then you can add shims until you get the correct number of shims that vents early but doesn't leak.

Ive tried all the carriers with and without shims, still leaks a tiny bit down the barrel.

hostage: you'll prolly need to buy one if your interested in actually getting a hold of one of these. I don't think anyone would trade one unless they had an extra, plus you 'd need to throw in a rail too. They're awesome. I'll never use a power feed again.

                            Hrm..

Mine's leaks out the front but that's when there is not enough gas to get level 10 to fire. LMK what you come up with...I'm just curious if I need to look for that same problem in my marker.

Hostage - How much cash are you throwing out? I believe ther is someone else selling a vf Micromag body on the boards...look for ah137's thread. Or you can buy them directly from PTP?

                            I hope this helps guys
